Curriculum and Parent Engagement
Many parents are concerned about what is being taught in the classroom. This is completely understandable considering the ever changing global environment. It may be for a variety of reasons.
Did you know that there is a committee that parents can join called IPR (Instructional Program Review) Committee. This committee consists of parents, district administrators, building administrators and staff, and members of the community. The committee engages in a wide and variety of discussions around technology, curriculum adoptions, educational foundations, building projects, communications, and the program review process. The information for this can be found on our district website under "Learning", "Curriculum", and then "IPR".
I would also encourage our parents and families to communicate with our educators and ask to see curriculum that their student is receiving.
